It's time for better things. Better thoughts, a better life for me and a better world. This blog might do about one billionth of a percent that, but it's exactly what I need right now.
I'm making a commitment to myself.
At some point in my day, at least three days a week and with luck more: I am going to read an hour of fiction, watch a TED talk and auction/throw/give/donate-away something I own - and I'm going to write about the item, the fiction and the talk. Oh yes, there will be spoilers, secrets will be broken into the open and my heart and history exposed. It should be fun, occasionally very difficult, cleansing and hopefully a little bit interesting, enlightening and maybe even helpful.
See you soon.

PS, I am currently about two and a half chapters in to Salmon Rushdie's, "Midnight's Children", I've seen a ton of TED talks and I'll be alternating between talks I haven't seen and my favorites. I have way too many clothes, many for sentimental reasons. I dno't really like to shop, but somehow I somehow have all these clothes. I don't throw them away and I like them all, but too many of them don't fit or fit poorly and aren't classy or classics or necessary so we'll be parting ways.
